Terms & Conditions
The key terms that govern use of the Trade Lane Desk platform and our forwarding services.
Applicability
These terms apply to all offers, quotations and agreements between Trade Lane Desk and its customers. All our activities are additionally subject to the Dutch Forwarding Conditions (FENEX), latest version, including the arbitration clause.
Expressions of interest
Expressing interest in a batch is not a booking. It places you in a timestamped queue for qualification. Batch sizes, sailing windows and rates are indicative until we confirm your booking in writing.
Qualification & confirmation
Bookings are qualified strictly in queue order. A booking exists only once confirmed by us in writing, stating lane, equipment, sailing window and rate. Confirmed terms prevail over any indicative platform information.
Cancellation & withdrawal
You may withdraw an expression of interest at any time before confirmation, free of charge. Cancellation of a confirmed booking is subject to the carrier’s and our cancellation terms as stated in the confirmation.
Liability
Our liability as forwarder is limited in accordance with the FENEX conditions. Ocean carriage is subject to the Hague-Visby Rules where mandatorily applicable. We strongly recommend cargo insurance for the full invoice value.
Governing law
Dutch law applies. Disputes are settled in accordance with the FENEX arbitration clause, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. A current copy of the full terms is available free of charge on request via info@tradelanedesk.com.
